calypso kingdom is seated deep within the forest and powered by a nearby waterfall. the kingdom is protected by swirling streams and rivers, and is essentially cut off from the rest of the world. they control all life and creatures that dwell inside forests like nymphs, fairies, etc. though every heir has been and must stay water nymphs.rich with green and medicinal herbs, the kingdom has almost been entirely self - sufficient and the only guests are diplomats that discuss trade.yua was not the oldest, nor the only heir to the throne. yua was born a twin, the youngest from akane. they looked practically the same, long hair that falls from shoulders, noses and lips molded from the same spell of their mother ‘s womb. they had matching water markings no less. though, akane‘s was a light blue that sits on her lower back. yua ‘s is a deep cobalt that sits on her lower stomach.they were inseparable, linked by the hip and akane was adamant on keeping it that way. she was obsessed with yua, loved her more than the throne.especially when it comes to the throne.yua favored books and the warm onsens. graceful with every step she takes, many attendants quote that she looks the prettiest sitting on the lilypad of her blessed hot spring. a princess by soul and heart, ready to bear the weight of an entire kingdom.akane preferred blades. tyrannical in the way she speaks to her attendants, sword trained to stay by her hip at all costs. she was smart, yes, but books were not her forfeit. candles flickered and went out with each step she takes, and akane dwelled in the cold.entirely different they were. their parents hated the thought of choosing favorites —— who will wear the crown? who will settle down first?. . . akane made the decision for them.❛ i do not want the crown, father. ❜
